Home Screen

Well, it has been almost a month, and I think I am finally satisfied with it. Here is a quick screen shot, and what I am running!

As you can see, it really does not look like the stock Touch Pro. I am running MightRom 4.16 with several CAB’s to make it just how I want. Here is a quick little list of what I am running:

-  Action Screen (The left soft button)

- Personalizer (Lets me change the carrier name)

- Added Percentage to Battery Indecator

- Clear Clock

- MightyMike & LilRico skins (red)

- Slide2Unlock2

And then a bunch of good apps, such as Sprite for backup, Pocket Player and Coreplayer for music/videos, and Mobipocket for reading.

Only catch…I am still waiting for it. I bought a used one off of Ebay. Got the bugger for $325. Pretty nice, since I plan on selling my Samsung Instinct for around $200.

So, sooner or later (depending on the speed of the U.S.P.S I will be posting my initial review of the Pro, and what software I am installing and such.

Earlier today my friends and I went to Bestbuy to buy a new digital camera. And buy the way, he picked up a Sony Handy cam…Pretty nice camera for only $235…

Anyways, I was roaming Bestbuy, and learned that they sell cell phones from many different carriers, including Sprint. So I got up the nerve and asked a pretty cool buy named Bill what I could do…After about a hour of him bouncing around the same telemarketers in India ( Sprint Customer Support ) he managed to get me the Instinct for $129, a LG Rumor ( for my brother ), and a family plan with UNLIMITED everything, besides talk time ( got 1500 shared minutes ) for $129 a month. Not bad at all…And there were NO cancellation fees from Nextel, or activation fees from Sprint…Good deal or what.

So, if your in the Saginaw, MI area, and want a new cell phone, hit up Bill at Bestbuy…if you want the Instinct wait a week…I bought the last one :D

I was even willing to give up “good” old Nextel, and start my 2 year contract over again, just for the damn thing.

So call up Sprint and inform a gentleman of my dilemma. He is eager to help, and offers to switch me from Nextel to Sprint, no charges, activation, or anything. And he even offers me the discount for the phone, so its only $129…amazing. I tell him to call me back in 2 hours, and I would have the required info and go through with the switch.

2 Weeks go buy, and he didn’t call me. I was to busy to call and try to get the deal again within that time. When I do call back I am told my a very grump woman that that offer is not available for current Nextel users…I would have to pay full price for the cell phone…about $400.

What went wrong here? I was told the firs man called didn’t record the information down, in the “notes.” Ad since that, I can not get the offer from anyone else…What the hell. A Verizon user can switch to Sprint, get the new phone for the $129, but not Nextel users…Super bull fucking shit…They need to get this stuff straight…its not like I am leaving them. though Sprint and Nextel were the same damn company now.
