Official Google Mobile Blog: Google Sync: Now with push Gmail support

23/09/2009

While stumbling across the internet I came across some good news. Well, good for the few of us that use Google Sync. Here is the deal. Using Google Sync, you used to be able to sync your contacts and calendar with your smart phone. For me, that’s my Touch Pro on the Sprint network.

Anyways, Google has now added support for email as well. Now, sure, you could access Gmail via your mobile browser, or set your native client up for it. But for me, this super simplifies it all for me. I already use Google Sync for my calendar and contacts, now with one for box checked it will check my email, bring it to my cell, and so on.

And even better, if you create a Google account specifically for your cell, you could even have copies from all your mail clients forwarded to one easy place, for organizing, archiving, and viewing. Beat that!

Follow the link if you want to read a little more into it.
