First of all, before I even get into the post, I would like to point out this is a personal blog. Sure, a majority of my posts revolve around technology and such, but it is still a place for me, C. Wasney, to get things out of my mind. With that in mind, I write.

So, I am going to hit these points one by one. The first being my Crohn’s. If your a reader of this site that actually knows me in any way closer than a URL, you know that I have Crohn’s disease. And if you happen to have talked to me in the last two or three months, you know I am currently having a pretty bitching flair up.

A flair up, for Crohn’s, is a point where the disease decides it will ignore my medications, and do its best to mate my ass to the toilet. Fun.

Anyways, after several doctor visits and test they have decided to change up my meds, and currently we are in the process of waiting…Waiting to see if this will work and such.

Point two, I am anemic. I did not know this about a month ago. I happen to have a very bad day at work about a month back, and after several people argued with me, I was convinced to visit the ER. After some testing there they informed me I was highly anemic, and that I should probably see my specialist about my Crohn’s as well (which I did). So now, not only do I shit a lot, all the time, I am constantly tired, and even get light headed and need to take brakes throughout my day.

And for the final point. I think I may be depressed. This is something new, to me, and since I have not mentioned it to anyone, it is new to you as well. No, I do not have suicidal thoughts, or think of anything harming. I just don’t want to do anything. I am anti-social. This is not constant though. I have had several times lately where I desperately want to get out of the house, visit my friends, and do something. But, nine out of ten of these times my body says no. Instead I am at home, in and out of the restroom, or just sitting in bed, lethargic and pained. The one good point with this is I have wonderful friends. They understand that I am not ditching them, that I truly do want to do something, but can’t.

So, there you have it. I have posted a much needed update. Sure, there are several other things going on in my life that I can write about, such as my continuing education and struggles with that, or the fact that Michigan will not insure me, but right now, these three points are what I feel to be important.

It has been about 2 weeks and so far I have only strayed from Ubuntu on two occasions. The first being when I was tinkering with my android device and needed a windows only program that did not like Wine, and the second while at a LAN party. I probably could have not swapped for the LAN party, but I already had the games installed and working in Windows, and figured it would be a waste of time and HDD space to install them into Ubuntu as well.

Mainly the only things I am doing with my computer right now is internet browsing, word processing, and music. I download all my music using a different PC, running a stripped version of Win XP, and listen to the files using Amarok. By far my favorite audio player. For internet browsing I am using Chromium, and it is doing great, exspecially for the fact that it syncs my bookmarks with my other computers and OS’s. For the word processing I am running OpenOffice. I used to run this in Windows as well, until I jumped on the Micro$oft Office wagon for ease of going to and from school.

Will give more information on my Pure (almost) Ubuntu experience.

I have decided to give Ubuntu a chance at being my only OS for awhile (asides from a few hours of gaming). I have already changed it to my default OS, relocated all my needed files to a accessable partition, and downloaded a few programs so I can do what I have been doing in Windows 7. So far it is going wonderful. My only complaint is that in Ubuntu 9.10 I seem to get much worse battery life then in Windows 7. I blame it on the fact that in Windows I am using software provided by Asus to under clock my processor and such for higher battery life. I have yet to find something comparable in Ubuntu for this.

So, wish me luck. I don’t think I will need it though. I have always liked Ubuntu and all of the customizations I can play with.

Within the next week it will be the end of my second semester here at SVSU. I must say, I have enjoyed it very much, especially compared to my horrible time at Baker College…

So far all I have taken are the general education classed for my major, that being Computer Science. I would say I have enjoying a majority of the classes, and asides from a few assignments I did not enjoy, I did pretty well grade wise. I still need to get it into my head that this is harder than Baker or high school though. There I was able to cruise through my classes, getting good grades easily. Here at SVSU I actually feel challenged a majority of the time, and I rather enjoy it.

I do not know what I will be doing this summer to keep myself busy. I am not taking any classes for the Spring/Summer period, as money is getting tight and I need to pick up a second job for the summer. This way, when Fall semester comes around I will be prepaired again, much like I was this passing school year.

So, awhile back I was stumbling and I read on this idea. It consisted of making a blog on one of the countless free blogging sites with a username and email you use on nothing else. On this blog you post things such as your dreams, ideas, wants, and daily experiences. Basically, anything you can think of. The site said to use full names, so if someone ever decided to Google themselves they may happen to fall upon the site.

I have been thinking pretty hard on this, and I think I may do it. I plan on only using first names and nicknames though…That way no one can become offended by something I may post.

Don’t post comments or emails or anything asking me if I am doing it, or for a web address. Like I said…the goal is complete anonymity, so I can feel free and unafraid to post anything.
